FamilyLife’s Communications Specialist helps the ministry become more engaged and energized through increasing staff engagement with each other; thus reflected in how it works together. This position works collaboratively and cross-functionally on a variety of employee communications projects that strengthen our internal and external brand reputation while also informing, inspiring, and mobilizing FamilyLife employees to support ministry-wide priorities.

Able to listen to staff and hear what’s not being said
Knows how to communicate simply; without using a lot of jargon and complexity
Speaks the language of ministry staff; can create relatable content to both paid and MPD staff
Assist in providing comprehensive communications support for ministry wide teams
Assist in crafting communications for brand communication plans including ministry announcements, brand campaigns, and ministry launches
Work with the Brand Communications Manager and Brand Marketing team to build communications that align both strategy and tone to ensure the ministry communicates with one voice
Help facilitate FamilyLife Staff messaging on Workplace. This includes, but is not limited to: extend staff communications to the group, review/approve posts from FamilyLife staff, moderate comments in the group, and enforce messaging guidelines for the group
Support the weekly staff “In the Know” newsletter production; including collecting submissions from staff, decision-making regarding alignment with “In the Know” guidelines, and newsletter deployment in email and via Workplace
